Proliant DL145 G2 - OS linux RHEL 4 up 3 can't recognize 4GB memory
I have installed the OS red hat enterprise 4 (update 3 32bits) on a server DL 145 G2.
The setup recognizes 4GB of RAM (2x2GB PC2700 ECC DDR1 SDRAM DIM). The memory have the same part number.
But, the Operational System can't recognize all memory, it just 3GB.
Can someone help me??

Re: Proliant DL145 G2 - OS linux RHEL 4 up 3 can't recognize 4GB memory
Hi,
First the server specs suggests that the server memory type supported is a PC3200 DDR SDRAM running at 400MHz with Advanced ECC capabilities.
However, you may want to check these earlier forums similar issue.

Also you may want to update the Systems ROMPaq and check.
Systems ROMPaq update available here:

Hope this works!!!!

Re: Proliant DL145 G2 - OS linux RHEL 4 up 3 can't recognize 4GB memory
Thanks for replies.
But update the Systems ROMPaq doesn't solve my problem because it fix an issue with properly displaying the system memory size during POST. And during POST the memory is OK. The OS can't recognize all memory.
The hugemem is already there.
