Proliant ML servers maximum shock/vibraiton level
Hi,
We're doing some renovations in out building. This means breaking out walls and so on. This will certainly generate vibration and shocks in the building and therefor to our servers. Is theresomething like a maximum (allowed) shock level for servers like the ML350's and ML370 or does anyone have ideas on how to avoid hardware failures due to shocks and vibrations?

Re: Proliant ML servers maximum shock/vibraiton level
major components that suffers vibrations are HDDs.
you can find the maximunm supported shock level searching this information on the datasheet of the HDDs you are using.
to avoid hardware failure due to shocks and vibrations ... I don't know if exists some components to be mounted on a rack ... or you have to install something like "craftsman" ...
bye.
