RAID 1+0 Shows for RAID 0, 1 and 10
Anyone know why the RAID configuration utility shows RAID 1 and RAID 1+0 as both RAID 1+0?
SCSI Array A is a RAID 1 Mirror - 2 drives
SCSI Array B is a RAID 10 - 4 drives
Yet BOTH show as RAID 1+0.
We have over 400 servers with RAID 1 or 10 and they all show this way.
CLUE:The RAID array is configured from BIOS...

Patrick by default when you configure RAID 1 it will automatically configure it as RAID 1 + 0. Basically is stripes and mirrors the disks, there is not option just for only RAID 1 now. It is RAID 1, but for performance reasons it stipes it as well.

So, esentially, we have no methodology to determine the real RAID configuration utilizing HP Array Configuration Utility after the fact.
