You will need to dowload the rom flash (either online or offline) If your doing the offline flash you will need to have a smart start (prior to version 7 ) that has the Rom Update Utility (Under the Maintenance Tab). If your doing it online (while the OS is still running) you will need the RDU (Remote Deployment Utility). The link and instructions are on the Online ROM Flash Component for Windows link.

This will update the firmware of the controller.
