Smart Array 5i Controller

I have several DL380G2's that are all having the same symptoms. I will reboot the server and when is coming back up the 5i controller will not get recognized. Therefore I cannot boot. Sometimes if I take the card out and re-seat it that will work but not very often.

Is there a known problem with cards? It has all the latest firmware, etc.

Brian:

I have experienced similar behavior on a few of the Dl380G2's I had been in control of several months ago.

My best suggestion is to check to see if the servers are under warranty and if so, have the controller replaced. If not, well... it all depends on how much money you are willing to spend.
