Sound card problem

Hi!
I tried to install my sound card on my server (I use it as a regular computer nowdays). The sound card is a Creative SoundBlaster Live! 1024. The problem is that I don't get any sound at all. I have tried with serveral different drivers and tried many different settings. It seams like it coming some sound out of the PC-speaker when I am playing music, but I'm not really sure about that, it could be just some noice too.
There is no problem with the sound card at my other computer.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Could it be some kinds of settings with the computer? I have also searched at Creatives support but I didn't find anything there.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Sound card problem

Try this: No promises.
Remove the sound card and clear NVRAM. Go into the F10 partition and go to Add/Remove boards. Give it a name, slot number, resources, etc. Save and exit and get into the OS and load the driver even though the card is not installed. Shut down and install the card in the slot that was specified before. Boot up and see what happens.
