System Erase not working
I am in the process of installing NT on the second of 2 ML370s, the first install went well. Unfortunately this second machine has been incorrectly setup by the supplier with the wrong NT configuration so I have to remove it and re-install.
I am attempting to use the System Erase Utility from the SmartStart Disk (V4.8) but each time I run this and turn the machine off/on it returns to the 'SmartStart has detected that this system or some of its components have previously been configured', instead of taking me to the normal SmartStart setup.
I have also tried creating a system erase disk but this also doesn't work (returns me to the menu described above).
I read somewhere that setting Switch 6 - Maintenance, then rebooting also clears the system but this didn't work.
Any ideas what I can do?

Re: System Erase not working
What version of the Erase Utility did you run from diskettes ? Did you run the Erase Utility currently on our Web site ?
Compaq System Erase Utility
Have you tried using SmartStart Version 4.90 ?
