Update from Version Control Manager
Hi,
Two questions actually. First, I have read the documentation here:
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/agents/documentation.html
And it states that from the homepage, I may hit "install" to install a required update. I can't find this icon for the life of me. The software generally appears to be working, in that it shows "current" and "latest" software, but the only way I've been able to actually perform an update is to copy the Cpxxxxx.exe file off the repository server and run it.
2nd Question:
We often build servers, setup the VCA to check the VCRM in our office for the latest updates, apply all latest updates, then ship it offsite where it will be the only server at a client site. My question therefore is, how do I "reset" the Version Control Agent, so it does not keep trying to look for the server inside my network? I have tried to "blank" out the server name, but it won't let me.
Any advice appreciated.

Re: Update from Version Control Manager
Edit:
Ok, i have solved my first question- my anti spyware [roduct was making the "install" button inactive.
Second issue is still outstanding. I have considered just uninstalling the product, but I like how, in it's base install, I can still quickly check the version of everything currently installed, even if it can't check the latest from a manager.

Re: Update from Version Control Manager
Anything you put in the VCA as a server name it will try and look for a running VCRM on that system. In general this causes timeouts with the System Management Homepage if the VCA cannot find the VCRM. If you are not going to be using VCA once you ship it off-site then you could just disbale the service so that the VCA does not run.
