Upgrading from a Windows NT 4 domain to Windows 2000 on a Proliant Server

I recently performed an upgrade on a Windows NT 4 domain controller to Windows 2000. The upgrade went smooth until Windows 2000 asked for the drive array driver. The system was a Compaq ML370 G2 with an integrated 5i SmartArray controller. The problem was that Windows 2000 was only asking for the NT 4 version of the driver and would not let you choose the correct driver for Windows 2000. The workaround for this is the download the Windows 2000 version of the driver, extract it, and rename it exactly as requested from Windows 2000 setup. This procedure worked like a charm.
