Windows Explorer Folder View Errors

In the last few months we have been unable to see the "Folders View" within Windows Explorer -- on the left Explorer Bar. The Search View, Favorites, Media, and History all work within the Windows Explorer Explorer Bar. But whenever we click on Folders a large grey box fills the Explorer Bar area.

This seems to have happened after we installed the latest Internet Explorer (6.0.26) and completed some service pack updates, although I cannot understand how either of those things would have caused this.

I am currently using Windows 2000 5.00.2195 with Service Pack 2.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

I was able to fix this by uninstalling IE 6 and going back to IE 5.5
