I have 2 Proliant Servers, a DL320 and a DL 380, the first one has windows 2003 and the second one has windows 2000. Both of the are reporting twice the number of processor they realy have (!). For example, the DL 320 has one processor and the OS reports 2 processors.
How can I fix this?

Re: Windows reports twice the number of processors
I believe that is how Windows views HT processors. At least I know thats how they show up in XP.

Solution
Most probably due to the Intel Hyper-threading Technology.
You can have a look at the following KB for more details:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;810231&Product=winxp
BTW, happens to Novell too. The screensaver shows "double" the physical processor installed.
Regards.
