adpu160m problems
I have a ML330G3 with a adpu160m controller with 2 10K 36GB drives (no RAID).
This server has been running for 2+ years without a problem. Recently I have been getting events in the event log "The device, \Device\Scsi\adpu160m1, did not respond within the timeout period." The number of events vary from sometimes 2 to sometimes 5 in a row around 20 seconds apart. Then the server crashes and reboots. The STOP messages vary, mostly STOP: 0x000000D1 but there are also STOP: 0x00000077, STOP: 0x000000F4, STOP: 0x00000019. I am not running any tape drives off of this controller. The drives are defragged. O/S is 2003 Server with Exchange 2003. Running Symante Live State Recovery.

Re: adpu160m problems
Hi JLarson,
I have come across a similar issue and got it resolved by installing the latest driver for the Adaptec SCSI adapte.
get it from www.adaptec.com
Also check the terminator on the SCSI cable, if it has any loose connection issue.
With Regards,
Siva.

Re: adpu160m problems
Thanks for the responses, I applied the latest SupportPack and BIOS updates to the server and so far (keeping fingers crossed) this seems to have fixed the problems
