booting on emergency disk

I am having a problem after making an emergency boot disk using Nero BackitUP 4 on a Proliant DL360 G5 with a HP Logical Volume SCSI RAID 5 which is Drive 0. When I boot on the boot disk, I cannot see the HD drive 0 and I can only see the USB drive that I want to use to store the backup image. tried several times and changed the boot order. still cannot see the HD 0. anybody else see this kind of problem.
