ilo network options question
Hi
I have 2 servers, one is ML370G5 with ilo2(firmware 1.49) and the other server is ML370G4 with ilo(firmware1.91). I have notice that under the network settings options there is an vlan port option and vlan tag in ilo2. What i want to know is whether is there a same option in ilo. And also notice there is an option call shared network port, what is the use of this option.

Re: ilo network options question
hi Alex
VLAN (when enabled) makes the iLO 2 Shared Network Port part of a Virtual LAN. All network
devices with the same Virtual LAN tag appear to be on a separate LAN even if they are physically connected to the same LAN.
VLAN Tag identifies all network devices on the same Virtual LAN. The Virtual LAN tag can be any
number between 1 and 4094.
and yes it is the same feature
second question
Shared Network Portâ Enables networking using the designated host Ethernet port. The port
appears as two separate Ethernet MACs and IP addresses on the network
