Re: ml310g5 smartstart8 no boot drive
hi
you must have a ML310 G5 with an Embedded SATA controller and Smartstart does not support controller
in that case if it is W2003 you must load your driver manually (using usb floppy) or use nlite (look for it in google or here are forum)
if it is W2008 you can load your driver using a USB key normally
regards

Re: ml310g5 smartstart8 no boot drive
well
I will guess it's W2003 x32 bits
link

like I told you the easiest is nlite
http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html
a lot of people have tried nlite
there must be a manual in this results
http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/james/search.do?searchtext=nlite&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&hpl=1&todo=search&searchcriteria=allwords&from=forums&searchcategory=ALL&rn=25&presort=rank&source=7000&esc=support.itrc.hp.com&wpa=forums12.itrc.hp.com%3A80&origin=0&chkServStor=o
I uploaded one I don't have it handy now but must be in that link above
but it's very easy just download driver - install nlite and follow the steps
