ml370 power cut now wont boot
got an ml370 with 6 disks in.
had a power cut and machine wont boot. one of the disks says failed on startup.
i am not too clued up with servers as my boss is away. i need a document that was on this machine
is there any way to get it booted back into server 2003 or can i extract off one of the drives another way
many thanks in advance

How are the 6 disks setup (RAID5?)
If you have only one failed it should still run ok.
Maybe the OS (Windows?) got corrupted when the power went off.
Thats a good reason to run your server on a UPS at all times!
I'd be trying a Windows repair install off the CD...

thanks for the reply
not sure on the setup i am assuming it was raid5. sounds to me like OS has been corrupted as welll.
and server was on a UPS - but that died after a few hours and we couldnt get to the building.

Doesn't your UPS signal the server to shutdown gracefully in those hours?
