Is it possible to upgrade iLO3 to iLO4 by installing RiLO card on HPE DL380 G7 server? What exactly is the functioning of RiLO?

Hi,

No this is not possible. ILO3 is a chip dreictly on the motherboard in a G7 server, ILO4 is inside the Gen8 and Gen9 servers. ILO5 can be found in Gen10 servers...

A RILO card does not exist, the only thing I remeber being a 'card' is the PCI based RiB Remote Insight Board from the good old Compaq time... So not applicable anymore...
