Trusted System on 11.00 S800
I am trying to convert my system to a trusted system on a L2000 and a L1000.
The L2000 doesn't even pass the tsconvert stage?
The L1000 passes tsconvert, sets up /tcb and /.secure but then nobody, even root can login and modprpw fails and says the passwd was not found in the secure database?
/tcb is there and the user file exists and it has the passwd entry.
I have installed the June 2000 patches, running 11.00 with VxFS.
I am stumped

Re: Trusted System on 11.00 S800
SUCCESS!
My problem was an incorrectly setup /etc/nsswitch.conf file that pointed to NIS when NIS is not running.
Modified that and it works great

Re: Trusted System on 11.00 S800
fyi. This problem/solution applies to other computers like HP9000's. I had the same problem. After switching to the Trusted System, I could not log in, or change root's password. Cause? The nsswitch.conf said to use "passwd: compat". I changed that to "passwd: files" That allowed me to login as root. Here's a bit of advice though, login 5 times as root before you switch to the Trusted System, and immediately try to change root's password. This way you know immediately if you have a problem.
I think that "passwd: compat" meant to use NIS instead of the password file. But I have NIS turned off.
