Email alerts fail

We are setting up SIM 5.3 in a 2008 environment. Instead of an smtp server the Exchange folks are using an Exchange hub transport. Any thoughts on how I can setup email alerts? I have tried the ip address of the Exchange hub transport in place of the smtp address. But no luck in receiving a test email.

Try using telnet with port 25 from the HP SIM Server to the Exchange Hub. You should be able to initiate a connection and type HELO and get a response.
