HP Desktops Showing up as Unmanaged in SIM
I am in the process of rolling out workstations dc5800 and they are showing up as unmanaged please assist

HPSIM needs access to the device in order to identify it. This can be SNMP and agent etc. Unmanaged means HPSIM has not been able to discover any protocol to identify the device.
I don't use HPSIM to manage Desktops, it's not really its strength. You'll need to look on the HP web sites to see if there's an agent you can install or consider installing and configuring SNMP.
You could try entering wbem credentials for the device in HPSIM and seeing if that manages to identify the device.
