HP SIM Agent 8.5.1 in silent mode
We are installing ESX’s using kickstart. In the afteros installation (when kickstart is done), we are installing the HP Agent 8.5.1 using the silent mode (install851vibs.sh --silent --inputfile hpmgmt.conf).
During the installation the following message occur: "This configuration script will configure SNMP to integrate with the HP SIM and the HP System Management Homepage by editing the snmpd.conf file. The HP-SNMO-Agents can also exist in a more secure SNMP environement (e.g. VACM) that you have previously configured. See the hp-snmp-agents(4) man page for specific details on how to configure the VACM entries in the 'snmpd.conf' file. You may press now to exit now if needed. Do you wish to use an existing snmpd.conf (y/n) (Blank is n):”
This message does not stop the afteros installation (waiting for an answer) but it is hiding some commands as well as perl script to send mails, reboot, etc.
Hereafter the content of the hpmgmt.conf:
export CMASILENT="YES"
export CMANOSTARTINSTALL="hpasmd"
export ENABLEHPIMPORT=Y
export ENABLEHP_SIMPORT=Y
export ENABLESNMPSERVICE=Y
export ENABLESIMCERTPORT=Y
Can you help?
Thanks,
Fred
