How i can send SNMP traps from HP SIM to another system of monitoring for example SCOM
Hello,
how i can to send an snmp traps from HP System Insight Manager to another system of monitoring for example SCOM.
I can do this from HP SIM or i need a conector ?

Hi,
This can b done in HP SIM using AEH Task, please do the following.
From Option -> Events -> Automatic Event Handling -> Ner Task
1) Create a New Task
2) Select The systems and the events that needs to be forwaarded as trap
3) Select the option forward as trap, and the IP of the system, It will be forwarded to 162 port.
4) Complete the task task giving no Time Filter.
In Help Doc. Please look at Trap Forwarding Section.

I like where this thread is going. Guys, any idea if I need to tweak a particular MP for SCOM to be able to recognize these forwarded traps? I'd like them to create alerts in SCOM with the same severity as the original HP SIM alerts.
