No notification e-mails for external array fan failure

No notification e-mails for external array fan failure

We are running System Management Homepage on a Proliant 380 server, and it is sending e-mail alerts fine for everything except a fan failure in the storage array which occurs several times a day.

The event logs show the events as green, and we do not receive notification for them. Are these events resolving themselves? Or is there something I am missing?

If you're on HPSIM 5.0 SP5 or earlier you may want to check you've updated HPSIM with the latest MIBs. See;

From what you say the traps are arriving, they're just not being correctly identified.
