VCA shows device as Degraded which does not exist on the server
Hi,
we have some BL460 servers with win2003 64-bit installed from Acronis image. Servers work ok, but VCA overall status is not green,
because VCA discover old version of
HP ProLiant Smart Array 5x and 6x Controller Driver for Windows Server 2003/2008 x64 Editions. BL460c doesn't have SmartArray
5x and 6x Controller, so we cannot upgrade driver and we also cannot find option to uninstall this driver.
We have last PSP and VCA agent installed
Any ideas ?
We already tried:
1)
Advisory: Version Control Agent (VCA) May Incorrectly Report Inactive or Obsolete Software and Drivers That Are Not Actually Installed on ProLiant Servers, Causing Overall Status of VCA to Display as Yellow (Degraded)
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c01092497
2) We tried remove hpcisss.sys (SmartArray 5x/6x driver) service from registry - and we have STOP 7B error in windows after removing this driver
Thanks in advance !

Re: VCA shows device as Degraded which does not exist on the server
Hi,
1) make sure you have deleted or renamed 'discovery' folder as in Advisory. 2) Install Insight management Agent,
3) Install & configure SNMP service with atleast one community string.
Above steps will change VCA's software inventory source to SNMP.
Click on "refresh the inventory data" link in VCA Home tab.
