I have a Gen 8 server that has som SSD drives that need a firmware update. It sounds like these need to be installed on boot using SPP. The firmware update is an exe file. How do I go about adding this to SPP so when it scans my system it recognizes the firmware update is needed for my drives?
Thanks

Re: How to add Firmware to SPP?
If you want to use SPP offline (boot from SPP) you need the Linux format firmware files and add them to the "packages" directory.
Try

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: How to add Firmware to SPP?
Ok, thanks. To clarify, I need the Linux files even though it's a Windows machine?
As for the "packages" directory, I see: hp\swpackages would that be the one?

SolutionIf you boot from SPP it is a Linux machine!
Linux is running from this USB device, no matter what OS is installed on the disks.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
