Attaching a StorageWorksMSA20 with a DL360 G4p server
Hello everyone,
I am trying to attach an MSA20 with a DL260 G4p. I have used a HP SCSI card thinking that the MSA20 unit has it's own RAID controllers buil in but Windows 2003 kept on asking about drivers for HP BULK RAID something. Even tually I tried to use a HP Smart Array 642 and there are no complains in Windows but the built in RAID card of the MSA20 unit does not let me build a 5TB array. It limits me to 2TB. Any ideas how can attach these two devices and use all the HD space possible?
Thank you
Ervin

I believe the Smart Array technology limits all LUNs/Logical Drives to a maximum LUN size of 2 TB. So youre options are to use third party software or create an Spanned Volume with dynamics disks in Windows to exceed the 2TB
