Upgradeing 320GB NAS 1500S to 1TB or 2 TB

Does anyone know if I can just install new drives and reinstall original software and have a larger capacity ?

The largest capacity was 1TB originally but since 500GB drives are now cheap I was thinking of installing 4x500GB in the unit.
Will this work ?
