Bkup Exec 8.5 can't initialise TL891DLX thru FC
We have a customer with Netware Cluster.. MDR II connected to TL891DLX ..with a single DLT 40/80 drive.
Boot up sequence.. TL891DLX.. MDRII .. then server..
CPQFC.HAM version 2.50
TL891DLX firmware 5.25
MDRII firmware 1170
Compaq Storageworks FC Data router can be seen during 'list storage adapters'... together with unbound object.
However, during BE for Netware 8.5 Insallation.. everything was ok.. until when I run 'BESTART' which fails to initialise the tape storage..
Tried with or without SSO.. but still the same.
Changed the Library to SCSI ID 1, drive to ID 2.
Which is the best SCSI interface for this configuration.. SCSI-2 or SCSI-3? tried both...
Run the BEDIAG and BEDIAG -s diagnostics..couldn't see the MDRII and TL891DLX and the Drive in the bediag.fax file under controller.
Pls help ASAP!!!
