DP 5.5 how to move tape via command interface

Hello, I have a StorageWorks tape library and I want to move tapes from slot to slot. uma works, but requires root access. I can move tapes to and from the mail slot with onmimm, but is there a way to move tapes from one slot directly to another with omnimm or some other tool that doesn't require root access? -Skip
