Lbot Failure

Hi,

I having trouble with my 12/24 dds dat drive it is failing to write to tape.
I have used the Compaq TSMC software and the follow error has come up in standard test

Failed Read/Verify Test : Verify (1000)
Sense Key Medium Error ASC:0x0c ASCQ:0x00
LBot Failure or Head Sync error during writing

Does any one know what this mean? Can I fix it or do I have to send it back to compaq?
