NTBackup cannot read data from DAT Drive, only write!

Do somebody have the same problem with the HP DAT72 USB Drive C7438A (AE307AT)?

My OS: Windows Server 2000 with SP4
Driver: Version 1.5.3.1 (06.07.2005)
NTBackup: Version 5.0 from Veritas

The HP Storage Tape Tool can succesfully Read & Write data to and from the drive.

The Software Data Protector Express Edition also can backup and restore the data successfully.

Only NTBackup fails reading data with the message:
"The media in the drive must be erased before it can be used."

Can someone help me?

are you saying that NT backup cannot back up and restore or are you saying the backup done by another sofware cannot be restored using NT backup?

I can backup with NTBackup but can not restore the data back!
