RSM.exe stuck with HP DLT VS80 StorageWorks

Hi,

has anyone experienced problem with rsm.exe stuck when trying to dtect guid on a DLT VS80 tape unit? We got a few of these units here and they work for a few months but once in a while, rsm.exe will get stuck for no reason at all and use up 100% of CPU. And then the only thing we can do to make it work again is to replace the tape drives. Any ideas any one?

What back up software are you using?
RSM has habitually caused problems for back up tape drive in certain OS.
