Storage Works MSL5000
I have a MSL5000 Tape library connected to a HPUX 11.00 rp5470 system. I have successfully installed Dataprotector v5.00. Cell manager and GUI installed on Windows 2000 server. And now we have problem with starting backup. The following logs can explain the reason of mulfunction:
1) /var/opt/omni/log/debug.log ==>
SCTL_io:ioctl() failed errno=9
2) /var/opt/omni/log/inet.log ==>
inet/allow_deny.c/main/7:524 A request 0 came from host rp5470 which is not a cell manager of this client.
3) Trying to manual backup of IDB from Cell manager I received:
[Normal] From: BMA@rp5470 "Drive Ultrium 1" Time: 07.07.2004 14:31:14
STARTING Media Agent "Drive Ultrium 1"

None of the Disk Agents completed successfully.
Session has failed.

Re: Storage Works MSL5000
Hi Dmitry
"A request 0 came from host rp5470 which is not a cell manager of this client".
Are you sure your CellMan/Client security is correct Check your user and client panes (tab security)Did you push the UX client from the Win Celmanager? Isn't using the HPUX CellMan an option?
