SureStore DAT24i (C1537A)

I have installed one internal DAT24 tape drive with Windows 2000 server.

However, Windows 2000 server recognizes the tape drive as HP C1537A SCSI CdRom Device.

I have tried to delete it from Device Manager and reboot the server. But the result is same.

Please advise how can I fix it.

Moreover, is there any alternate method to upgrade the firmware without using StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools ?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Re: SureStore DAT24i (C1537A)

Hi,

Windows 2000 operating system fully supports this tape drive. Please use the drivers supplied on the StorageWorks CD-ROM or the HP support website.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=42846&prodTypeId=12169

If any prblem try adding the hardware manually.

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried your way. But it cannot be recognized correctly.

Actually, the problem is found after I upgrade the firmware by StorageWorks L&TT.

search for the irq in the tape and the cd-rom units, may be have the same irq..
