Ultrium 230 for ProLiant ?

Hi,
What is the difference between Ultrium 230 for ProLiant and "ordinary" Ultrium 230. Is this "ordinary" Ultrium 230 not compatible with ProLiant servers

I believe the "Proliant" version the new "StorageWorks" Ultrium ...rebadging is the only change as far as I'm aware... could be wrong though!

Yes, there is a difference. The 230 for Proliant will be supported on the Proliant servers, the ordinary 230 is the model that is only supported on the End-of-Life Netservers. The newer tape drives are also carbon colored to match the new proliants.

What type of server are you connecting to, and internal or external? I can give you the exact match...
