data protector express, clone disks

data protector express, clone disks

Hi!

i have a couple of tapes (LTO4) backuped with "Data Protector Express 3.50-sp2", and i would like to clone the tapes to have out_of_the_office backup tapes in case some disaster happens.

Can anybody point me out the way to do this?

Do i need a second LTO drive, do i need to upgrade to data protector express non-basic?

DPE can clone tape cartridges but you will either need a 2nd drive or you can copy from tape to disk and then from disk to tape.
