4108gl dhcp relay
I am trying to config a 4108 for dhcp relay and do not seem to be able to get it to work... any help would be appriciated.
I have been able to get it to work in 2600's using dhcp-relay option 82 replace ip
and ip helper-address x.x.x.x on the vlan
With the 4108 running 7.93 the ip helper statement seems to work fine, but the dhcp-relay statement does not seem to support option 82 and even if I just put in dhcp-relay it does not appear to save it in the config.

Re: 4108gl dhcp relay
Hi
DHCP Option 82 operation can be configured on the Series 2600, but not on the 4100.
Anyway, Some client applications can append an Option 82 field to their DHCP requests.
Good Luck

Re: 4108gl dhcp relay
Since dhcp-relay is enabled by default it does not show up in the running-config. All you usually need to do is set the helper address as you've done and it should just work. Very infrequently something might go funny and you usually just need to reboot the switch in this situation.
You shouldn't need the option 82 unless you've got some type of setup that requires it.
