5300XL Reboots when connecting console cable using PuTTy
Has anyone seen where a 5300XL will reboot after connecting to the console port using PuTTy?
I had this happen to me today at a customer site using an HP procurve console cable DB9 to RJ45M with a RJ45F to DB9 adapter. As soon as I pressed enter to activate the connection, the switch re-booted. No messages or text was displayed until I saw "decompressing..."
Becasue i could not believe what I was seeing I pressed enter twice again after it finished rebooting and it happened again so I know it was from my connection. I have read through all the release notes I could find with no luck. Even if I was using the wrong cable pin-outs I cannot see how this could restart a switch.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Thanks
RGiovo
