5403 losing information after reboot/reload

I had everything up and working...

Routing...
DHCP Relay
etc...

all working beautifully...

Write Memory
reload

Now the 5400 lost all it's stuff but it's ip address... ip routing turned off etc...

It is still plugged into a 2650...

what gives...

Re: 5403 losing information after reboot/reload

Unless you're been playing around with multiple configuration files I could only suggest updating to the latest firmware and trying again.

'show config files'

By default there will only be the file 'config'

ProCurve Switch 5406zl# show config files

Configuration files:

id | act pri sec | name
---+-------------+----------------------
1 | * * * | config
2 | |
3 | |

It has been fine all day...
I did a write memory from the config#
and then "reload"

back to factoy...

Only one config file shows up

http://www.hp.com/rnd/software/j86921163.htm

I like to do it via TFTPd32 or ProCurve Manager Plus (very easy). The management and configuration guide has more information on updating the firmware.
