9408 and problems with Windows Clustering
Hello.
We have recently added a Procurve 9408 into our network to replace one of our existing 9308 switches.
Since implementation we have had problems with our windows clustering servers.
Does the 9408 support the resolution of unicast IP addresses to multicast mac addresses? (This requirement is taken from the Microsoft tech notes on Cluster load balancing).
We have currently got around the problem by using static arp commands, but this will not suffice during any failure in the network or cluster. Our old 9308 which this box replaced seemed to handle it ok.
