How to connect a HP Blade with 2 active connections to two 5406zl switches?

Hello,

we are just planning a redesign of our network with new ProCurve components. Our new core environment will be 2 5406zl connected together with a trunk. The network routing is also managed on this switches. Our HP Blade has an passthrough network unit with two outgoing connections. We want to attach one to the first 5406zl and one to the second. But both connnections should be active, so that we get a 2 Gigabit connection. Our 5406zl can handle distributed trunking, but only when we deactivate the routing function. Is there an other "best pratice" way to connect a blade with two active connections to two connected 5406zl switches without disabling the routing functionality?

Best regards

Sven

NIC Teaming, configured for TLB. This gets you 2 MACs active outbound, 1 MAC active inbound. Fail-over is based on link-status.
