Maximum number of VLANs on HP 2650
Hi
I have a 2650 layer three switch (J4899A) running sw version H.10.83.
I need to configure more than 8 vlans but when I try I get an error stating I have reached the maximum.
The documents I have found state it supports up to 253 vlans at the same time but when I do a "show vlan" it says maximum vlan support is only 8.
Can anyone tell me how I can get more than 8 vlans on this thing? I thought maybe it was a software thing but upgrading it to the latest version didnt cure this.
Thanks

Re: Maximum number of VLANs on HP 2650
Here is answer: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/AdvTraff-Oct2005-59908853-Chap02-VLAN.pdf
"In the factory default state, support is enabled for up to eight VLANs. (You can
change the switch VLAN configuration to support additional VLANs. Refer to
table 2-1 on page 2-3.)"
After changing Maximum VLANs setting you must reboot the switch.
