Multicast filtering
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to filter out certain multicast groups in my 5308xl.
The command is:
5300(config)#filter multicast 01005e01010d drop c1
which should restrict port C1 from access multicast group 239.1.1.13. However it doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!
Regards,
Marcus

Re: Multicast filtering
what do you mean when you said it doesn't seem to work?
do you mean that port C1 can still receive data to the group? or do you mean that port C1 can still send data to the group? or both?

If a problem can be fixed, there's nothing to worry. If a problem can't be fixed, worrying ain't gonna help. Bottom line: don't worry.
