Procurve 5412zl - ssh key fails to generate

I have a Procurve 5412zl. The version information is as follows:

Image stamp: /sw/code/build/btm(t1b)
Oct 19 2006 14:38:23
K.11.63
135

I am trying to generate an ssh key so that I can disable telnet access to this device. However, I receive the following message when I attempot to generate the ssh key:

ProCurve Switch 5412zl(config)# crypto key generate ssh
Installing new RSA key. If the key/entropy cache is depleted, this could take up to a minute.
Operation aborted.

I receive this error every time that I try to generate the ssh key. I tried a few times to zeroize all keys on this device. I don't receive any errors when I zeroize keys and I am able to generate a cert key without any errors for https management. I will be planning to relad the switch tonight to see if that resolves the issue.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue? Any help that can be provided will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Procurve 5412zl - ssh key fails to generate

A reload of the switch seemed to clear the key/entropy cacahe. I was able to generate the ssh key after the reload.
