Procurve VPN Client for Vista

I downloaded the Procurve VPN Client. On install the Safenet adapter failed to install.

I had this same problem on a watchnet box and their old version of the VPN Client not being compatible with Vista. The Procurve and WatchGuard appaer to be identical interfaces presumably by the same 3rd party.

Does the Procurve VPN work on Vista? If not, will it?

For a work around iv'e tried to install the watchguard VPN for Vista and will make a manual connection to see if it works.

Re: Procurve VPN Client for Vista

I think you can just use the built-in Vista VPN client since it now supports IPSec.

Thanks Matt

How do you know what settings to use on the Router that Vista will connect with. Encryption etc...

Re: Procurve VPN Client for Vista

This one I haven't tried personally, I did just install Vista last night though on my main laptop so when I get a chance I'll give it a shot.

All I planned to do was go through the VPN Wizard and use a pre-shared key and somehow nut it out from there.

There is a VPN client example on the ProCurve website - although last time I checked it out I thought it might be more complex than it needed to be.

There's also this one:

Good Resources Above.

More trial and error time required.
