HPE 5900 Series
Hello Teams,
My company have bougt a new switch HPE 5940 FlexFabric. I have a issue with it, I need to connect it like L2 device into my network, I added an IP address into VLAN (for amangement) this IP is from special LAN which I designate for managment all network devices. Let me please know how can I config a "IP default-gateway" on this swith?
Best regards,

Re: HPE 5900 Series
Hello Emil,
you need to configure a route to the routing device (static or configure a routing protocol) in global configuration mode. An example for a default static route:
ip route-static 0.0.0.0 0 X.X.X.X

Re: HPE 5900 Series
Hi Emil,
If you have already Management VLAN IP then you need a default static route pointing to your default gateway.
тАЬip route-static 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 gateway IPтАЭ
Best regards
