AH401A HBA driver

Gentlemen!!

I have 2 servers with multiple FC HBA's installed. They are all AH401A's. I have 6 of them at driver rev B.11.31.1003 Jan 5 2010,
and 1 at B.11.31.1009 May 9 2010. I have downloaded the latest/greatest from the HP website. Is there a procedure documented out there on how to upgrade said driver? I have attached the output of fcmsutil on both sets of HBA's. Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide.

Regards,

Ron

Re: AH401A HBA driver

Your output doesn`t gives any Model & driver`s details ..however both cards looks
same, you need to install the same FW /driver
for each.

Try the command below ..
# fcmsutil /dev/fcd2 vpd
V I T A L P R O D U C T D A T A

Re: AH401A HBA driver

Manix, thank you so much for your help!!

Another question while I have your attention. These HBA's are not currently hooked up to anything. Will it cause any harm if I pull 4 of the HBA's from server B, and install them into other servers?

Curiously yours,

Re: AH401A HBA driver

Please check that they are not in 'awaiting_link_up' state before pulling them out.

If they are not in use they are all yours.
Do show some curiosity in points tally too :)

Thanks
