CD ROM name

How to find the CD ROM Devixe full name in running Tru64 System

On Tru64 V5.x systems the CDrom special files are /dev/disk/cdrom0c, cdrom1c etc
depending on how many CD's you have(had) in
your system/cluster.
The command "hwmgr sho scsi -full" will show the make and model of your cdrom.


On a V4.x Tru64 system, use the command "scu sho edt" to find the product ID and bus location of the cd-drive.

The device special file will be /dev/rzyyc, where "yy" is derived from (8*busnumber+targetnumber)
