We are trying to set up some old used machines as development environments. We booted it ok but once the logon appears on the command line, it doesnt do anything. its not a keyboard lock as we can type anything and nothing happens. I thought we pressed a wrong key while we started up first time, so hard booted it again. Still it does that. I've no idea what to do. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
Thanks so much for your time.
Sri

Solutionpossibly your terminal is not set to remote mode on.
Check at the terminal the MODE function keys.
Look at the function key 4 [REMOTE MODE]
If it has no asterik (*) press the function key. If you have then the asterik it should work.
Regards
Andrew

Re: Console Keyboard Locking.
It works, I pressed the F4 key to select the "REMOTE MODE" and also pressed F3 key to remove the (*) asterik next to "BLOCK MODE"
Thanks so much for your help.
