DBA process showing IB block in glance (DBA is very slow)
Hi,
I am getting below errors in glance o/p. dba processes showing IO block due to which dba is very slow.
I have checked all the disks, dmesg. but did not get any issue.
ora_dbw1_APE 23743 oraape 51.8 1 8.4 71.0mb 74.1mb IO
owcimomd 7559 owcimomd 49.0 4 0.0 1.30gb 1.32gb SLEEP
ora_dbw0_APE 23741 oraape 47.1 1 7.7 66.9mb 69.5mb IO
xpinfo 19938 root 17.3 1 0.0 28.1mb 35.0mb IO

Hi,
database processes that block for IO is one thing.
However xpinfo blocking for IO might be more interesting.
Time xpinfo.
#date; xpinfo -i; date
And then time ioscan -fnN.
# date;ioscan -fnN;date
If the time it takes for both commands is equal, and its more then it used to , relatively to the amount of lunpaths , then their could be a fibrechannel driver/sanissue/storage issue.
Log a hp support call to check things out, if the above is the case.
